Draft. This has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes what the software actually does, which is the part worth getting right first.

The short version

You can take the test without giving us your name, your email, or any account. We store your answers and your scores so we can show you your result and so your share link keeps working. We do not sell your data, and we never hand it to advertising networks.

What we store

• Your 120 answers, on the 1–5 scale.
• The age and the norm group you chose, which are needed to score at all.
• Your five domain scores, your detailed facet scores, and your character.
• The random token in your share link.

We do not store your name, your email address, or your IP address alongside any of this. Nothing here identifies you by itself.

Your private link

When you finish the test we give you a private link. It is the only way to reach your data — to download it or delete it — because there is no account to log into.

Keep it if you want that control, and do not post it anywhere. Anyone holding it can delete your data. It is different from your share link, which only shows your character and your five scores.

If you lose the private link we genuinely cannot find your data for you. There is nothing to match you against — that is a consequence of not collecting anything that identifies you, and it is the trade we chose deliberately.

Getting your data, or removing it

Open your private link. It has a button to download everything we hold as a file, and a button to delete it.

Deleting is immediate and permanent. Your answers, your scores and your share link all go, and the share link stops working for everyone. We do not keep a hidden copy.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your responses or your results.
• We do not share them with advertising networks or data brokers.
• We do not use them to build a profile of you across other websites.
• We do not send you email, because we do not have your email.

Your browser

While you are taking the test your answers are saved in your own browser, so closing the tab does not lose your progress. That copy never leaves your device until you finish, and it is cleared once your result is saved. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Counting visits

We count how many people reach each page, so we can see where the test is losing people and fix it. Those counts are just numbers — no cookie, no visitor ID, no IP address, nothing tying one page view to another or to you. We cannot tell how many people visited, only how many times each step happened, and that is enough for what we need.

There is no Google Analytics here, no advertising pixel, and no third party receiving anything.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to see, correct, export or delete the personal data an organisation holds about you — for example under the UK and EU GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act. The download and delete buttons on your private link are how you exercise them here, and they work immediately without having to ask us.
